Step 1: Review our 招生 Considerations
Kettering University attracts outstanding students with diverse academic interests, extracurricular pursuits, and backgrounds. Applicants tend to have strong academic records, particularly in math and science, and are ready to challenge themselves academically.
Our application review centers on your preparedness for success at Kettering and includes consideration of your overall 平均绩点, 级模式, and selection of courses throughout high school.
Required High School Coursework
- 2 years of Algebra
- 1 year of Geometry
- 1 semester of Trigonometry or equivalent
- 2 years of Lab Science, one must be Chemistry or Physics
- 3 years of English
Recommended Coursework
- Calculus or Pre-Calculus recommended (if available)

- CAD and/or Drafting

Step 2: Submit your application

- Freshman/First-year is classified as any student who has not completed any college credit after graduating high school.
- Dual Enrolled and Early College students are considered first-year applicants.
- 转移 students who have completed high school and enrolled in college, even for one term or less, must apply as transfer applicants.
Kettering University offers a free application with Early Action I & II and Rolling Admission plans.
Early Action I
- 应用 by November 15 - get a decision by December 15.
Early Action II
- 应用 by January 15 - get a decision by February 15.
Rolling 招生
- After January 15, 2022 - accepted on a space-available basis.
Step 3: Complete your application
To complete your application and make this a reality, we need one last thing from you -- your official transcripts. If you've not done so already, please contact your school to request official transcripts to be sent to the University. We highly recommend you order your official transcripts online from 羊皮纸 or Naviance.
Prior to your enrollment, we must receive your final official high school transcripts. If you participated in an early/middle college program or a dual enrollment program, we must also receive official transcripts from each college.
Step 4: Submit your test scores (optional)
If you have elected to submit test scores, please request official scores through ACT or SAT directly, unless they are included on your official high school transcript.
Sending Your Scores
If you do choose to submit a test score, you can mark Kettering University as a recipient on your exam or request the scores from ACT or CollegeBoard directly.

首页school Students
Kettering University welcomes applications from homeschooled students. Students should submit official transcripts of grades, signed and certified by their home school instructor. 成绩单 should clearly list the grade levels (9-12), 课程名称, and the grade earned for each course. Students who have taken any courses in a formal high school or college/university setting are required to submit official transcripts from those schools as well. The Office of Undergraduate 招生 will contact the student’s primary educator if additional information is needed.

转移 Students
Students transferring to Kettering from another university should be taking 14 to 16 credits per semester of coursework similar to what is being taken by a Kettering University student. Some students may need to complete recommended science and math courses before transferring to assure proper academic preparation for Kettering. We may request to view your high school grades and ACT or SAT scores as well. For more details on applying see our 转移 Student information page.
